Budgets, Schedules, Quality – these are the three tenants of project management but it takes a seasoned project manager to keep them in balance throughout the life of the project.
Budgets – use of budget tracking spreadsheets, regularly updated and in an easy to understand format so that information can be understood by the team
Schedules – updated at regular intervals, and including critical milestones, processes and deliverables and constant review of schedule to track or recover schedule
Quality – thorough review of program and resulting design at critical steps to ensure design is in line with budget and function as well as regular interaction and review during the construction phase to ensure quality work
